May 15, 2017

Our vision is to develop Forest School learning experiences for all children and young people, through a new partnership with schools, settings and other learning providers.

You are invited to help us to shape this vision and take it forward at a briefing for head teachers and governors.

Aims for the event are :-

  • To share the ethos of Forest School and look at how Cambridgeshire schools have implemented Forest School sessions into their curriculum (speakers are Stephanie Wilcox - Head Teacher, Melbourn Primary School and Mark Askew - Head Teacher, Fen Ditton Primary School)
  • To look at the impact that regular Forest School opportunities has on children's learning and development
  • To share Cambridgeshire County Council's Forest School vision and to seek your views
  • To find ways, through discussion, to support schools and settings to offer regular Forest School sessions.

The consultation session will take place on Wednesday 21st June between 14:00 and 16:00 at Wood Green Animal Shelter (Kings Bush Farm, London Road, Godmanchester, PE29 2NH) with refreshments provided.
